A 90 year old family mansion history

The Hôtel Le Pigonnet is known to be an unconditional institution in Aix-en-Provence, a family history that since 1924 managed with influence this elegant mansion.

It all began with four-bedrooms, an 18th century Provencal property that the Swellen family transformed and extended into an elegant hotel. Regular guests, for holidays and local residents, were loyal to their gatherings to play their tarditional "bocce ball" game, enjoying the swimming pool and the delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

The family-run hotel vocation endured until 2014, when the actor Christophe Lambert and the family company Lebon and Esprit de France took over with the aim to pursue this unique spirit leading to its incredible success.

Our teams make up the identity of the Hotel Le Pigonnet. Whether at the restaurant, in the rooms, at the bar or at the front desk, all our teams strive for you to live an unforgettable service experience, a mix of authenticity and elegance. Some members of the staff have been working for the hotel for over 20 years and share their passion with our faithful guests. Our philosophy, evidently, is to satisfy our guests throughout their stay but always simply, spontaneously and genuinely.

Everyone just calls him “Ben” – our Food & Beverage. Manager will make you feel at ease and at home within our Eden grounds. We are privileged to have loyal guests that come back to visit us not only for our property but also because they feel part of Le Pigonnet family, and Benjamin is today a friend to most of them. You might have met him around 20 years ago as a waiter, you are now invited to come back and challenge him.

Thierry is gentle as a lamb ! He has been as Benjamin, an ambassador for Le Pigonnet since numerous years. Previously Head Pastry Chef at Le Pigonnet, he grew within the team to later become the Head Chef and author of la carte of "La Table du Pigonnet". Being a Chef is like being conducting an orchestra, creating and leading day by day. Let yourself be guided by Thierry senses !

Being free in creativity is one of the hotels values which enriches Kevin's keynote imagination at all time. A passion that he applies as an artist: mixing the beauty of products, an attention to detail, the quality exigence, a creativity and delicacy of flavours. Nothing else to say, just enjoy!
